This man is one sick pianist and his band is always on point! I was on this Furthur Fest tour w The Dead, Bruce Hornsby and Hot Tuna...what a fun tour this was!!
a little bit of a bio of  amazing musician
Biography: Bruce Hornsby

Since the release of his first album in April 1986, Bruce Hornsby has created a musical life that has expanded far and wide to include a broad stylistic range of activity.
Hornsby, a thirteen-time Grammy nominee, has won three Grammys – in 1987 with the Range for “Best New Artist” for their debut album The Way It Is; in 1989 for “Best Bluegrass Recording” for his version of his hit “The Valley Road” which appeared on the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s Will The Circle Be Unbroken, Volume II; and with Branford Marsalis in 1993 for “Best Pop Instrumental Performance” for their song for the Barcelona Olympics, “Barcelona Mona.”  Bruce’s latest nominations were in 2004 for “Song F”, from his Columbia album Halcyon Days, and in 2006 for “Song H” from his box set Intersections.
Hornsby’s thirteen albums have sold over 11 million copies worldwide.  The title cut from The Way It Is was the most played song on American radio in 1987, winning the ASCAP “Song of the Year” award.  In 1989, he co-wrote the classic “The End of the Innocence” with Don Henley, a Top 10 record for him.  Harbor Lights was the 1994 winner of the Downbeat Reader’s Poll Beyond Album of the Year (meaning all music other than Jazz and Blues).  In 1999 Tupac Shakur “co-wrote” a new song over “The Way It Is” music with Bruce, using new words, called “Changes.”  It was a major worldwide hit selling 14 million copies.

Bob Marley and the Wailers 10/31/73 KSAN Studios , Sausalito, CA,

This is in memory of Bob Marley who died today
While flying home from Germany to Jamaica, accepting that he was going to die, Marley's vital functions worsened. After landing in Miami, he was taken to hospital for immediate medical attention. He died at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami on the morning of May 11, 1981, at the age of 36. The spread of melanoma to his lungs and brain caused his death. His final words to his son Ziggy were "Money can't buy life."

From the book Bill Graham Presents:
"First, I concerned myself with serving all these people food. A buffet for fifty four hundred people. We had two hundred-twenty turkeys weighing almost six thousand pounds. Five hundred extra turkey legs that weighed six hundred pounds. Stuffing made from seventy bunches of parsley, five hundred pounds of onions, and five hundred pounds of celery sauteed in a hundred pounds of butter mixed with three hundred and fifty pounds of croutons, five quarts of garlic, ten quarts of sage, and one quart of thyme. Ninety gallons of sauce made from drippings. Forty crates of lettuce for the salad. Twenty gallons of salad dressing. Eighteen cases of cranberries. Two thousand pounds of peeled yams. Three hundred pounds of Nova Scotia salmon donated by Louis Kemp and Bob Dylan. Six thousand bread rolls. A hundred pounds of butter patties. For dessert, four hundred pounds of pumpkin pie as well as four hundred pounds of mincemeat. Rock and Roll's last supper."
